Room Details

The Lounge

A comfy retreat after a busy day at the beach or visiting one of Cornwall’s many family friendly locations. With plenty of space to relax in front of the woodburner and watch your favorite programmes together on the Smart TV, there’s a DVD player too.

The Kitchen

Step down from the lounge into the compact but fully-equipped kitchen. There’s room in the base and wall units to stock up on all the fresh, local produce Cornwall offers. The fridge freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, toaster and kettle, along with cutlery, crockery, glassware and utensils provides everything you need to cater for the family in your holiday home if you choose to stay in. Due to space limitations there is no dishwasher at Jem’s Cottage - which might be just the excuse you need to take advantage of all the delicious restaurants, cafes, pubs and bistros nearby.
The dining table and three chairs are in the kitchen (a fourth chair is kept in the master bedroom if needed). The table can fold out to make more dining space if required.

The Bathroom

Go up a couple of steps from the kitchen, through the back hallway and up another step into the recently renovated bathroom. The new wc, bath with overhead shower, wash basin and towel heater covers all your needs. Towels (3 x bath sheets and 3 x hand towels), facecloths, and bath mats are provided. There is a toddler step and toilet seat available at the cottage for those travelling with small children.

The Utility room

Continue through the bathroom to the utility room where you will find the washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, laundry basket and clothes airer. We also keep child's highchair here to save bringing your own if you are travelling with little ones.

The Master bedroom

Upstairs to the left is the master bedroom with a king-size bed and duvet (all bed linen is supplied), use the chest of drawers and hanging space to unpack and make yourself at home. There are 2 x bedside lamps.

Bedroom two

At the top of the stairs, step down into bedroom two. It has a single bed and duvet (all bed linen is supplied), a chest of drawers and storage for toys and games (not provided). We have a travel cot available if required (bed linen not supplied for travel cot), there is space for it in this room.

Outside space

There is no private parking, but you can park on the public road immediately outside the property. The semi-detached cottage is accessed via a gate, please be careful when leaving the property as it opens straight onto the road. There are 3 wide steps that lead to the front door and porch.
The small front garden has chippings and there is a bench where you can sit and watch the world go by. The hedge is the border to the neighbours garden.
Outside to the left of the cottage, up two steps is a paved area with a table and chairs and a barbecue, perfect to sit back and relax on a warm summers evening. The path to the back of the cottage is also paved, there are steps down to the back door and area where the dustbin and recycling is stored.
